The Kalanchoe Donkey Ear, Kalanchoe gastonis bonnieri, is native to Madagascar, also known as Good Luck Leaf, Leaf of Life, or Tree of Life. Its unique leaves, big flower stems, and way of welcoming many hummingbirds, makes it a favorite of many succulent lovers. Donkey Ears can reach a height of about 2 feet tall when it blooms producing showy drooping flowers with red and yellow colors. It grows fast and can tolerate almost any condition. If growing outdoors protect during winter and place it in any bright-window indoors. In landscaping, Donkey Ears is used as a low-rise specimen plant. It has a high drought tolerance and doesn't require much attention in order to thrive. Plants also do well in pots.
